Steven has been writing songs and music for 35 years, and in 1995 decided to take his hobby PROFESSIONAL. He quickly hooked up with various songwriters and learned to hone his craft. With persistance he started up Lyn Ashley Music (ASCAP) and Aliso Canejo Publishing (BMI) with little knowledge of how to go about it. He got around all the Catch 22's and was the First Publishing Company with INTERNET affiliation to get awarded his ASCAP affiliation.
He has achieved more in a short period of time than Most writers or Publishers including, placing music in Film and TV and getting Holds with major artists such as 'THE DIXIE CHICKS, COLLIN RAYE, BRYAN WHITE, KIM REMUS' and many others.
When he was 17 he toured professionaly for 5 years and entertained in as many as 57 countries and over 300 cities before deciding that he would rather settle down and raise a family. He has been married for 20 years and has 2 wonderful children, resides in Southern California and travels quite extensively to pitch his own material and the material he represents.
