In the mid 1980's, TANYA honed her performance skills as lead vocalist with "AMBER", the hottest R&B/Funk band in Miami, performed with Jazz and Latin groups and performed country music at the legendary "WHISKEY RIVER".

In 1986, after TANYA finished her formal musical education at the University of Miami, she made her decision to return to her home state of Tennessee. Nashville was the logical choice of cities for this talented singer and musician.

Once in Nashville, TANYA formed her a new band, "HOTHOUSE", and began touring the Southeast for the next four years. During that period she also accepted a position as staff vocalist for the Songwriters Studio, recording literally hundreds of demos for aspiring songwriters nationwide. TANYA also proved to be skillful at using her voice in the corporate world, recording commercials for prominent companies such as Safeway Foods, Mazda, and most recently PAX Television Network.

Although TANYA had been writing songs and playing musical instruments from an early age, her diverse musical tastes led her to experiment with many different styles of writing, as well as learning to play a variety of instruments including piano, guitar, mandolin and her favorite, the fiddle.

With a voracious appetite for all types of music, TANYA explored everything from old time Mountain Music, to R&B, Funk, Latin, Irish Folk, Jazz, Blues and other ethnic music from around the world before setting into her own unique sound for the album she knew would eventually record for herself.

In 1993 TANYA received a call from legendary producer and record executive Scott Hendricks, who was forming a band for Faith Hill's debut tour. He had heard of TANYA in Nashville's inner circles and asked her to audition for the tour as background vocalist. It turned out to be one of the largest auditions in recent Nashville history; however, TANYA's hard work and skills as a musician paid off. She bested over twenty other talented rivals, using her skills not only as a background vocalist, but also as a fiddle and guitar player to secure the position.

TANYA's tour with Faith led to other tours with country legends such as BILL ANDERSON, EDDIE RAVEN, and new country stars like WADE HAYES, SKIP EWING and DAVID KERSH. TANYA also found herself opening for artists such as REBA, LEANN RIMES, ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL and LITTLE TEXAS.

In 1997 TANYA was touring with singer and songwriter giant SKIP EWING. This inspired TANYA to renew her songwriting efforts. During the tour, TANYA played some of her songs for Skip's manager Roger Sarchet. Excited by what he heard, Roger immediately offered TANYA a management contract. Plans were then put in place to develop new material and produce a debut album.

TANYA excitedly began the task of preparing for her album project. Co-writing songs, working on arrangements and appearing at premier Nashville venues like Caffe' Milano and Union Station's Track 13. Rounding out the 1998 summer schedule, TANYA also began touring with two time Grammy nominee and multi-number one hit country performer JANIE FRICKIE. TANYA once again was playing fiddle, guitar and singing background vocals. This time however, she was also taking center stage herself, singing during each show.

While performing a show with JIM PETERICK who wrote the smash hit "Eye of the Tiger" and formed the hit making group SURVIVOR, TANYA was invited by Jim to sing a duet. The song received such a response from the live audience that plans were made for them to record a duet on TANYA'S new album, "WATERDANCE". The song "Somewhere in Time" they recorded was heard by the people producing the Independent Country Music Awards Show and TANYA and JIM were invited to perform the song March 14, 1999 at the Independent Country Music Awards Show. This was the debut of their duet for the public.

Now this talented singer, songwriter, and musician is about to step to the forefront, hit the radio airwaves after a successful 1999 tour, making music "her way" and realizing a lifetime of dreams.
